The Colour, Clarity, Cut and Carat Weight of a diamond are collectively termed the 4Cs. These are the factors that, when combined together, define a diamond’s quality and ultimately determine its value. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) created these 4Cs of diamond quality, which has become the universal method for assessing the quality of any diamond. The creation of the 4Cs means that diamond quality can be communicated in a universal language so that as a buyer you know exactly what you are buying.
DIAMOND CUT
The brilliance and fire of a diamond is determined by the diamond cutter's skill and craftsmanship. When a diamond is cut to the highest standard, the more sparkling and dazzling your diamond will be.
DIAMOND SHAPE
The shape of a diamond is probably the first consideration when buying your diamond. Personal taste will guide you towards the shape that excites you and all have contrasting and beautiful qualities. The diamond's formation is described as viewed from above the stone ~ such as round/brilliant cut, princess cut, pear cut, emerald cut. DIAMOND COLOUR
